AFinLA encourages its members to take part in the AILA Europe Junior Researcher Meeting by offering travel grants to members. AILA Europe JRM will be organized in conjunction with the annual Greek Applied Linguistics Association (GALA) Congress 2024 at the Aristotle University Research Dissemination Centre, Thessaloniki, Greece Thessaloniki, France on 11 October 2024. The registration fee covers both the AILA Europe JRM and the GALA Conference (on 11–13 October 2024): https://www.new.enl.auth.gr/gala-ical17/aila2024/. Only AFinLA members who present at the conference may apply for the travel grant.
To apply for the travel grant, please send an estimate of costs, abstract, and notification of acceptance (if you have received it) to by 17 May, 2024. The expenses must be reasonable and related to the AILA Europe JRM participation fee, travel, and/or accommodation. Applicants will receive notification of the decisions by email during May, 2024. Names of the recipients and the sums awarded will also be published on the AFinLA website. The travel grant will be paid to applicants after the event in exchange for the receipts.
