The Society for the Study of Finnish (Kotikielen Seura) awarded a prize to Saara Laakso for her article Alkuvaiheen S2-opiskelijoiden käsityksiä puheen ymmärtämisen vaikeuksista ja kompensaatiostrategioista [Beginner Finnish as a second language learners' perceptions of listening difficulties and compensatory strategies]. The article appeared in the 2015 edition of AFinLA Yearbook, Flows of Language Learning, (eds Jakonen, Jalkanen, Paakkinen & Suni).
